What time do the fishing charters depart?
Most charters depart between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM from Los Sueños Marina or Jaco Beach, depending on your package and boat. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early.
What types of fish can we catch?
Depending on the season and trip type, you can catch: Offshore: Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi (Dorado), Wahoo Inshore: Roosterfish, Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Snook, Mackerel
Is fishing equipment included in the package?
Yes! All packages include top-quality rods, reels, bait, tackle, and gear. You just need to bring your sense of adventure.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your safety comes first. If the captain decides to cancel due to weather, we'll reschedule or offer a full refund depending on conditions and availability.
Do I need a fishing license in Costa Rica?
Yes, but it's easy. You can purchase a day fishing license at the dock before departure. Our team can assist you with the process.
What size boats do you use?
Our fleet ranges from 28’ to 50’+ sportfishing boats, all equipped with modern electronics, restrooms, shade, and experienced bilingual crews.
Are food and drinks provided?
Yes. Most packages include snacks, fresh fruit, water, soft drinks, and beer. Full-day trips may also include sandwiches or a hot lunch depending on the boat.
Can I bring my kids or non-fishing guests?
Absolutely! Fishing charters are family-friendly, and non-anglers are welcome to relax onboard and enjoy the views. Please mention this when booking to choose the right boat.
Where do your charters depart from?
Most fishing trips leave from Los Sueños Marina in Herradura, just 10 minutes north of Jaco Beach. Pickup or transportation can be arranged from your hotel or rental.
